This week on WWE NXT, a new top champion was crowned and surprisingly he’s from the WWE Raw brand. The special episode dubbed “Roadblock” also had Dusty Classic semi-finale matchups on the card to set up the finale match. Also, a Last Man Standing match was there on the show that took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. Check out the results,
– Dakota Kai and Wendy Choo defeated Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade to move to the Finals of the 2022 WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Toxic Attraction attacked Raquel during the match to hurt her knees. Raquel’s knees gave up as she missed a Chingona bomb attempt on Kai. Kai leveled Raquel with a double stomp for the pin to win the match.
Ex WWE Smackdown Star Toni Storm Discussed Her Main Roster Call-Up
– The Creed Brothers were attacked in the Parking Lot but the attackers weren’t revealed.
– Fallon Henley defeated Tiffany Stratton in the next match on WWE NXT after Sarray caused a distraction. Tiffany was showing off when her rival Sarray showed up at ringside to distract her. Henley hit a sliding knee on Tiffany to get the pinfall win.
Wrestlemania 38: Championship Match Changed To Triple Threat On WWE Raw
– Lash Legend held a Lashing Out segment with Nikkita Lyons being her guest. Lyons was accused by the host of having butt implants, but Lyons denied the news by saying that she’s all-natural.
– Carmelo Hayes was announced to defend WWE NXT North American Championship against 4 different opponents in a Ladder Match at NXT Stand & Deliver set for April. The opponent’s names weren’t revealed.
WWE NXT 2.0 Roadblock Results (08/03/22): Last Man Standing Match
– Grayson Waller defeated LA Knight in a Last Man Standing Match with some help from his bodyguard Sanga. Waller hit LA with a foreign object, which Sanga had in his pockets to get the upper hand. Waller then flies with an elbow drop to put Knight through the table to get the referee’s ten counts for the win.
– Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray defeated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter to advance to the Finals of the 2022 WWE NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. Shirai sent Carter into the steel ring steps while KLR hit a superkick on Catanzaro. After that, KLR hit with the KLR Bomb to Catanzaro, allowing Shirai to go to the top and hit her signature moonsault for the pin to win and advance to the finals.
– Imperium (c) vs. MSK for WWE NXT Tag Team Championship ended via disqualification after The Creed Brothers attacked both teams. Midway through the match, The Creed Brothers rushed the ring for a big pop as they attacked both the teams for the disqualification.
– Dolph Ziggler defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker (c) in a Triple Threat Match to win WWE NXT Championship in the main event of the night. Robert Roode obviously interfered in the match in favor of Ziggler. Ciampa charged with the running knee to Bron when Roode pulled Bron out of the way. Ziggler hit with a superkick on Ciampa to get the pinfall win. Ziggler and Roode celebrated on the ramp to send the show off-air.
