Finale match for the first-ever NXT Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic has now been confirmed to take place at WWE NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day 2021 edition. It will go down at the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida on February 14 with the team of Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez competing against Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.
NXT General Manager William Regal provided an update stating the winners of the tournament will receive the Dusty Classic Trophy during WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day PPV. The winners will make history and alongside, they will also earn a future title shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, currently held by Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on the main roster.
This week’s go-home episode for WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day saw Moon and Blackheart defeat The Way (Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell) in the semifinal and confirm their spot in the finals. Shotzi landed a big senton off the top rope over Indi and LeRae. She covered Indi to secure the pinfall win. Last week, Kai and Gonzalez defeated Team Ninja (Kacy Catanzaro, Kayden Carter) to move into the finals.

The finals of the NXT Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic have also been announced for WWE NXT Takeover: Vengeance Day event. The match lineup features The Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake, Zack Gibson) vs. MSK (Wes Lee, Nash Carter). Last week, MSK defeated Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza, Joaquin Wilde) in the first semi-final match to advance while This week, The Grizzled Young Vets defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher to advance.
Drake and Gibson hit the Ticket to Mayhem together on Ciampa for the pinfall victory. The winners of this tournament will receive a Dusty Classic trophy, and a future title shot at the WWE NXT Tag Team Titles, currently held by Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.
