Several matches have been announced for next Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT on the USA Network. NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Io Shirai and Zoey Stark will be seen defending their titles for the first time since they have won the belts from Indi Hartwell and Candice LeRae on July 6 at Great American Bash. The champs’ first opponents will be Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro.
WWE NXT Tag Team Titles will also be on the line next week when MSK – Wes Lee and Nash Carter defends against Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. This week, MSK asked NXT General Manager William Regal to make the match official and he accepted their request.
Lorcan and Burch were in possession of the tag titles but Burch went down with a shoulder injury several months ago, and thus the duo was forced to relinquish those straps. MSK hyped the match when they saved Tommaso Ciampa from a beatdown by Lorcan, Pete Dunne, and Ridge Holland after his main event win over Holland.
Santos Escobar vs. Carmelo Hayes was also announced for next week. A backstage segment aired this week where the 2021 WWE NXT Breakout Tournament winner talked to McKenzie Mitchell about which title he might challenge for. He was then interrupted by Legado del Fantasma’s Escobar, Elektra Lopez, Joauqin Wilde, Raul Mendoza.

They told him to keep his eyes off the NXT North American Title, currently held by Isaiah “Swerve” Scott since Escobar plans to go after that title, soon. This led to some verbal exchange between Hayes and Escobar before the match was made, official.
KLR will be in action on WWE NXT
Kay Lee Ray will also be in action next week. She had a sit-down interview with Arash Markazi to talk about WWE NXT women’s division. She wanted to bring new life into things and become a new top star of the division. Ember Moon later responded to KLR’s promo and challenged her to a match on next week’s show.

KLR also confirmed that she is now staying in the United States and will be working in the main NXT brand, moving forward. It’s to be noted that she debuted on the brand to confront WWE NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez at TakeOver 36, earlier this month. KLR defeated Valentina Feroz on last week’s show in her debut match while Moon last wrestled for a loss to Dakota Kai on the July 13 show.
Next week’s WWE NXT show will also feature singles debut of Tian Sha’s leader Mei Ying. No update was given on who will be her opponent. Cameron Grimes vs. Zack Gibson was also teased but it wasn’t made, official. At a glance, the card stands as follows,
