A new stipulation was to the Steel Cage match between Pete Dunne and Tony D’Angelo scheduled for WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2022. During the go-home edition of NXT for the specials, Dunne defeated Draco Anthony in singles action despite interferences from Tony D’Angelo.
Towards the end of the match, D’Angelo tried to attack Dunne with a crowbar but it back-fired as Dunne fought him off. Dunne hit the Bitter End to get the win and fought off another sneak attack after the match.
Dunne then went under the ring and brought out steel chairs, kendo sticks, a trash can, and a toolbox. He also returned to the ring with his cricket bat as Dunne warned him that he will need more than a crowbar at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2022. Dunne also proposed that their match be changed to a Weaponized Steel Cage match to which Tony agreed.
The finals of the 2022 WWE NXT Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic are also confirmed. During last night’s NXT 2.0 on Syfy, The Creed Brothers defeated The Grizzled Young Veterans to advance to the finals set to take place at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2022. MSK later defeated Edris Enofe and Malik Blade to advance to the match.
Thus, next week’s Dusty Classic finals at WWE NXT Vengeance Day 2022 will see The Creed Brothers battle MSK in a solid match. The winners will earn a future title shot from NXT Tag Team Champions Imperium. Plus, they will also become the next winners of the Dusty Classic trophy.
