Not one but two WWE NXT Championships will be unified at the upcoming NXT Worlds Collide 2022 event set for September 4. This tease was first made after NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate made his presence felt, last week. Then multiple NXT UK stars followed the lead of Bate and showed up on NXT 2.0 brand to confirm the same following the Heatwave special, this week. The fallouts of the bygone show set things up for two big title matches.

Last week, WWE NXT UK Champion Tyler Bate confronted the NXT Champion Bron Breakker after the main event of Heatwave. The two have since been taking shots at each other and now it’s confirmed that the two are set for a massive collision at NXT Worlds Collide 2022.

NXT Worlds Collide 2022 will be a co-branded event

This particular event will signal the end of the NXT UK brand as the brand will move to a hiatus after that event and this show will be replaced by the NXT Europe, starting from 2023. But before that, superstars from both NXT 2.0 and NXT UK will appear on the premium live event, one last time in the first week of next month.

Speaking of this, female superstars will also be appearing on NXT Worlds Collide 2022. WWE NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose will face NXT UK Women’s Champion Meiko Satomura and Blair Davenport in a Women’s Championship Unification Triple Threat Match on that night.

Last night’s NXT 2.0 episode of the show featured a segment between Rose and Davenport as they came to a face-to-face confrontation. NXT UK Women’s Champion Satomura interrupted this segment after which a triple threat match to unify both the NXT and NXT UK women’s championships was confirmed for NXT Worlds Collide 2022.

Satomura has been the NXT UK Women’s Champion since defeating Kay Lee Ray (now known as Alba Fyre on NXT 2.0) in June 2021. Rose has held the NXT Women’s Title since defeating Raquel Gonzalez (SmackDown roster member Raquel Rodriguez) on the Halloween Havoc special back on October 26, 2021. Her latest title defense came during last week’s episode of NXT 2.0 where she defeated Zoey Stark.
