Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles (WWE world heavyweight championship)
At the first PPV of the “new era”, Roman looked to prove himself as “the guy” whereas AJ was keen to show it was “all about him.” The main event became chaotic after Anderson and Gallows and the Uso twins got involved towards the end. The chaos saw Styles defeating Reigns twice in the process of a double count-out and disqualification but in the midst of the power struggle between Shane and Stephanie, both restarted the match on the two occasions. Reigns eventually walked out as champion after spearing Styles into the canvas.
