Going by the latest reports, WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch could reportedly be suffering from a legitimate injury. She was absent from this week’s episode of Raw citing similar reasons as she posted an update on social media. The belief was that it was due to the kayfabe reasons but that may not be the case.
Prior to Raw, Becky Lynch took to Instagram and announced that she would miss RAW due to Bianca Belair fracturing her voice box during the main event of this past weekend’s WWE live event in Allentown, Pennsylvania where Lynch retained her title over Belair and Rhea Ripley in a Triple Threat. But suddenly she posted a photo from what appeared to be a hospital room or a similar set-up.

Now, PWInsider reports that Becky Lynch is legitimately hurt, and is also expected to be out of action for around two weeks. If that’s the case then she should be back in time for Wrestlemania 38. She should be able to make her scheduled match with Belair, which takes place during Night One of the show on Saturday, April 2 with the women’s title hanging in the balance.
Becky Lynch was unable to attend this week’s Raw
Big Time Becks mentioned how she was unable to attend RAW this week but she was backstage at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, the venue of the show. There is no update on whether the “fracture” of the voice box is legitimate or just a storyline excuse to cover up the legit injury.
Meanwhile, a fan has tweeted a clip from Sunday’s WWE live event in Allentown where a post-match angle showed that Belair punched Becky Lynch in the throat, and then hit her with the KOD to end the segment. Lynch could be seen clutching her throat after the shot by Belair which is being pointed out as the reason for her absence on Raw.
Becky Lynch stated in her promo that she was hit so hard that she was spitting blood all over the arena on Sunday night. Then she made it to Raw only to find out that Belair had run away. Then she finished her promo mentioning that irrespective of her fractured voice box, she’d make it to Wrestlemania to retain her title.
