The Rock returned on WWE Raw, this week to send a stern warning to Cody Rhodes and show what possibly the latter’s fate would be at Wrestlemania 40. After weeks of hearing rants from Rhodes, an assault was launched upon him which also led him to a busted open state.
Opening things on this week’s WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes expressed his admiration for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns but acknowledged him as someone who barred his aspirations of becoming a champion utilizing his Bloodline cohort. Cody also led the fans to sign alongside him at the Wrestlemania XL logo.
The Rock then made a surprise appearance on WWE Raw which was actually supposed to happen, next week. He said something to Cody and left and Cody looked confused. Backstage, The Rock was asked what he said to Cody but he didn’t have any answer to the question. Cody was also asked what The Rock said to him but it was something that he can’t repeat, but it’s a promise that The Rock can’t keep.

WWE Raw: The Rock stood tall after the main event segment
Then in the main event of this week’s WWE Raw, Jey Uso defeated Shinsuke Nakamura. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa tried to interfere in this match, but Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins came out and took them out of the equation.
After the match, Cody and Jimmy were shown brawling backstage. Cody also attacked Solo while Drew McIntyre took out Rollins. The Rock then entered the scene as he attacked Cody. Rock hit Cody in the head with a trash can. The beatdown continued on WWE Raw in the locker room area of the All-State Arena.
The Rock further smashed Cody’s face against Cody’s bus several times after which the latter was seen bleeding from the head. The Final Boss then took out the “Mama Rhodes” weight belt and soaked it with Cody’s blood.
WWE Raw then came to an end with The Rock standing tall over a bloodied Cody Rhodes and reminding everyone that he still had enough gas left in the tank to take out anyone who got in his way. The Rock is also scheduled to make an appearance on next week’s Monday Night episode.
