Brock Lesnar was the headliner of this week’s episode of WWE Raw. He appeared on two consecutive weeks to let us know his next opponent. The fate of the United States Championship was also a major concern heading into the show. Furthermore, the Universal Champion was in action in the main event match. Check out how all of these went by from this week’s episode that took place at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

AJ Styles Taking Time-Off From WWE Raw

WWE Raw opened with Kofi Kingston who appeared to the ring to know Brock Lesnar’s decision with Money in the Bank cash-in. Seth Rollins joined him into the ring, as well. Lesnar joined them into the ring and started fooling around. Rollins left the ring as Heyman possibly mentioned his name indicating that Lesnar will cash-in for the Universal title.

Kofi Kingston was leaving the ring when Dolph Ziggler attacked him from behind. Xavier Woods ran down to make the save. But Ziggler grabbed a chair and hit into Woods’ throat to leave him injured. Kofi had to appear with a chair to scare away Ziggler. He took Woods to the back for medical attention as Ziggler cut a heel promo on his title match at Super ShowDown.

Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre were up next on WWE Raw to blast the Samoan Dynasty i.e. Roman Reigns’ family. They had Lance Anoa’I (Reigns’ cousin) on the show for a match against Shane. McIntyre attacked Lance before the match allowing Shane to win the match with a triangle chokehold lock. After the match, Roman Reigns appeared and hit Superman Punch on both McIntyre and McMahon sending them for a retreat.

Brock Lesnar reappeared on WWE Raw and this time Paul Heyman announced that he’d let us know about his Money in the Bank decision. Heyman then informed that Lesnar has one full year to cash in. So despite Rollins’ pledge, the duo did not announce anything.

There’ll be a Fatal 4-Way match on WWE Raw to determine the Universal Championship challenger at WWE Super ShowDown. It’ll be The Miz taking on Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, and Baron Corbin. Corbin is replacing AJ Styles who is injured. We go to a backstage segment where Styles was about to inform us of his injury. But Corbin attacked him from behind.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The IIconics took on Becky Lynch and Nikki Cross in a non-title match on WWE Raw. Lynch with a leg-drop on Royce but Kay broke the pinfall and gave a big boot on Cross. IIconics hit Lynch with a double-team face-buster but Lynch came back with dis-arm-her. Royce tried to counter but Lynch slammed her to the match for the win. Lacey Evans walked into the ramp after the match but walked away.

We went backstage to The Uso Block Party where The Usos and The Revival shook hands trying to bury the hatchet. Samoa Joe appeared to deliver an update on the United States title and announced that Rey Mysterio is likely to relinquish it next week.

Ricochet vs. Cesaro was the next match lineup on WWE Raw that started with Ricochet delivering a dropkick followed by a Fosbury Flop. Cesaro came back hitting a hits a belly-to-belly suplex for two-count. Cesaro delivered a European Uppercut for another near fall! He went for a torture act when Ricochet caught him with Code Red followed by a Hurricurana and an inside cradle for the win.

The fatal-4-way of WWE Raw changed to an Elimination Match with the winner taking on Seth Rollins at Super ShowDown. Strowman and Lashley continued fighting each other and went to the back eliminating themselves. The Miz caught Corbin with a pair of running double knees but Corbin soon countered with an End of Days for the win.

Sami Zayn appeared on WWE Raw to answer questions from the fans until Seth Rollins walked in for the main event match against him. Rollins buckled his knee during the match allowing Zayn to attack him with a Blue Thunder Bomb. But Rollins kicked out and went for a Frog Splash. Zayn put his knees up and had the Figure-Four locked in. The champion somehow kicked Zayn out of the ring. Zayn entered the ring to digest two Stomps from Rollins to lose the match and close the show.
