A plethora of matches for Wrestlemania 39 has been announced on this week’s WWE Raw and one more should be waiting for next week. WWE Hall of Famer Edge has Finn Balor called out in a segment that should confirm a rematch between the two at the Show of Shows, possibly in a gimmick match.
In the latest episode of WWE Raw, Edge interfered during Finn Balor’s match against Johnny Gargano. Edge pushed Balor off the top rope coming from behind. This allowed Gargano to pick up the win with his One Final Beat DDT. After the match, Edge entered the ring and cut Balor in two halves with a Spear. Then in a promo, the Rated R Superstar called out the Judgment Day leader for a potential showdown at WrestleMania 39.

A week after costing Edge the United States Championship, Balor was the one to issue a challenge to the WWE Hall of Famer on the February 27 episode of Monday Night Raw in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Edge is yet to answer that Wrestlemania 39 challenge and it’s likely that he will go on to make a positive response toward it.

Balor had previously defeated Edge in an “I Quit Match” at the WWE Extreme Rules PPV last October. During that match, Edge uttered the words “I Quit” for the first time in his career since members of Judgment Day threatened to hit his wife Beth Phoenix with a Con-Chair-To (which they did despite Edge quitting).
If recent reports are any indications then Edge vs. Finn Balor at Wrestlemania 39 should be a gimmick match, possibly a Hell in a Cell match. This will also reportedly end the year-long rivalry between Edge and Judgment Day.
