WWE Raw delivered yet another packed episode en route to the WWE Day 1 PPV event, this week. A Women’s Title match served as the headliner of the show while a Steel Cage match featuring the WWE Champion was also on the card. Apparently, the original listings for these two matches were altered, leading up to the show.

As seen on this past Monday, WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch retained the title over Liv Morgan in the main event match. The show opened with WWE Champion Big E defeating Kevin Owens in a non-title bout. This match took place inside the Steel Cage which saw interference from Seth Rollins.

Now, it’s been claimed that the plan was to close WWE Raw December 6 episode with the Steel Cage match and then the Lashley angle, according to PWInsider. However, then a push was made to go with Morgan vs. Lynch matchup.

The drop was noticed specifically due to the scheduling of the female division match in the third hour.

But then people in WWE were pointing to the strong success of Morgan vs. Lynch when it comes to the digital front. As of this writing, the match has gained 726,000 views on YouTube. It was also noted that the original plan for the WWE RAW opener was to have an in-ring segment with Big E and Owens setting up the Steel Cage match but that never took place.
