Alexa Bliss and Asuka returned on this week’s WWE Raw after a gap of a month on TV and they quickly made headlines by becoming new champions on the latest red brand show from Dallas, Texas.
In the opening segment of the show, Bianca Belair clinched a victory over Nikki Cross. Soon after the match, the Raw Women’s Champion was attacked by Bayley alongside his DAMAGE CTRL buddies ahead of their rematch at Crown Jewel on November 5. It was then when Bliss and Asuka ran out through the ramp to make the save for Belair.

The segment ended with Asuka dropping Bayley with her signature Hip Attack while Bliss hit a senton to take out all three members of Damage CTRL. Soon after this altercation, it was announced that the two returnees will face IYO SKY and Dakota Kai for the Women’s Tag Team Titles in the main event of WWE Raw.
Then in the title bout, Asuka escaped a moonsault attempt from SKY and kicked SKY in the face. She tagged in Bliss who came flying in with a Twisted Bliss for the pinfall victory to become the new tag team champions.

Bayley was unable to interfere in the title match on WWE Raw
SKY and Kai’s buddy Bayley was unable to interfere in the match as she had to tackle WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. The two brawled all over the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas and it ended with Bayley hitting a Bayley-to-belly move on Belair through a table.
Before dropping the belts, Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and IYO SKY) held those for 49 days, after capturing those from Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez on the September 12 episode of WWE Raw. Aliyah and Rodriguez won a tournament to win the then-vacated titles due to Sasha Banks and Naomi’s walkout from WWE on May 16.
Moreover, with this win on WWE Raw, Alexa Bliss and Asuka have now become three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bliss previously held the title two times with Nikki Cross. As for Asuka, she held the title previously with Kairi Sane and Charlotte Flair. The title win should also continue their ongoing feud with DAMAGE CTRL for the time being.
