In a dramatic sequence of actions on WWE Raw, we have witnessed the crowning of a new United States Champion. Seth “Freakin’” Rollins has become the new title-holder of the mid-card title during the season premiere of the show, this week. This came after a sudden return by Brock Lesnar to attack the former champion.
Initially, the ex-United States Champion Bobby Lashley came out for his scheduled title match on WWE Raw against Seth Rollins but he proceeded to cut a promo on wrestlers he defeated in the WWE in the recent past namely, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar.

Just after name-dropping The Beast, he actually came out to make his WWE Raw return and thereby send the fans present in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York to a frenzy. Lesnar sarcastically wished Lashley, a good evening before taking him out with a plethora of German Suplexes and F-5s.
Seth Rollins wins US Title on WWE Raw
Lesnar almost passed out The All Mighty by applying The Kimura Lock after which Seth Rollins came out to the ring to capitalize on the opportunity. As the referees continued to check on Lashley at ringside, Rollins made his way to the ring with his ribs heavily taped up following his Fight Pit Match against Matt Riddle at Extreme Rules.
Rollins amped up Lashley to back in the ring and fight him, even after the referees advised Lashley to retreat to the back. Taking the microphone in hand, Rollins mentioned how Lashley is supposed to be a fighter, a champion, and a soldier, but has actually become a disgrace to the United States Title and to his country. An infuriated Lashley then entered the ring to compete in the scheduled match on WWE Raw.
After the match bell rang, Lashley immediately attempted to take down Rollins with a Spear, but Rollins countered with a Pedigree. However, Lashley kicked out at two, following which Rollins hit a top rope frog splash. Lashley escaped that move and applied The Hurt Lock but targeting Lashley’s injured left arm, Rollins finished him off with a Stomp to become the new US Champion on WWE Raw.
This win marked Rollins’ first singles title win in WWE since he held the Universal Title in October of 2019. Plus, Rollins has now become the second two-time Grand Slam Champion in WWE history after The Miz.
