The Road to WrestleMania 37 may go through another twist on tonight’s WWE Raw. Less than two weeks from Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, the WWE Championship will be hanging in the balance, once again. Plus, the former WWE Champion will be coming back after a week of hiatus when the must-see episode airs from the Tropicana Field in Tampa Bay, Florida.

16 years is a long time and that’s how much timespan, Bobby Lashley has been waiting to grab the WWE Title in his career. His physical strength is rare in the circuit and hence it’s still a misery why the WWE creative never considered him to grab the belt, earlier. But now he is just one big win away from capturing the gold on WWE Raw, ultimately.

WWE Raw Preview (01/03/21): Bobby Lashley vs The Miz; Drew McIntyre Returns 1

As seen last week, Bobby Lashley defeated Braun Strowman after hitting a Spinebuster and a Spear. Strowman had his shoulder up following the 3-count, but by then the referee had declared the winner in Lashley who became the new number-one contender over the most prestigious title will go down on WWE Raw, tonight.

The Dominator has already sent a message to The Miz Lashley by dropping him with a Spear by the end of the show. After all these years he had spent in the business, the only thing left for him is to win this particular belt. He seems hell-bent on capturing the same and even the spoilers are in his favor. So there won’t be any surprise if the title indeed changes hand on WWE Raw.

Speaking of WWE Title, the former champion Drew McIntyre will appear live on this week’s WWE RAW to address his Title loss at Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. He will also speak about whether Bobby Lashley’s attack has softened him up a bit and made way for The Miz to cash in and win the WWE Title.

WWE Raw Preview (01/03/21): Drew McIntyre Returns

Drew McIntyre was given the night off, last week just to make sure that his involvement doesn’t affect the booking of Lashley vs Miz for this week. He was present, backstage but not used. There’s no word available on what WWE has planned for McIntyre at present. He could interrupt the scheduled title match or else WWE may decide to book him a match against Sheamus at FastLane.

The two started a feud the night after Royal Rumble 2021 as Sheamus hit McIntyre with a Brogue Kick. The Celtic Warrior wanted a one-on-one title shot against McIntyre which he never received. Now that McIntyre doesn’t have the championship, the Celtic Warrior is still interested for the bout to go down. So perhaps these two are indeed on a collision course.

Charlotte Flair is done with her feud against Lacey Evans as the latter one is pregnant. Even Ric Flair has been written off the TV after an emotional conversation with his daughter. Eventually, Charlotte had a fallout with Asuka last week after hitting her with a big boot. Could this be setting up the next title match over WWE Raw Women’s Championship? We’ll find out when WWE’s flagship show airs from the ThunderDome with the latest episode.
