WWE Raw has kicked things off in a big way for the post-Wrestlemania 38 season. One week removed from the biggest event of the year, Cody Rhodes is the supposed headliner of this week’s edition as he competes on a Monday night after almost six long years against another veteran The Miz.
Top Superstar AJ Styles is also scheduled to compete in a big match as he faces former US Champion, Damian Priest. Women’s tag team titles will be on the line on the night when Veer Mahaan will be making his in-ring debut. Plus, a VIP Lounge is in store with Omos being the special guest for the host MVP as WWE Raw airs from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

Cody Rhodes returned to WWE with a win over Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38 in a match about which WWE Universe was majorly happy. Critics also praised WWE’s efforts by portraying the returnee as a top talent as he used to be a mid-carder during his departure, back in 2016.
Following his return, Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in this past week’s post-RAW dark main event. But tonight will mark his red brand in-ring return for TV. As announced, The American Nightmare is scheduled to make his official WWE RAW in-ring return as he competes against The Miz. This will be his first match on RAW in six years. We will have to see whether Seth Rollins interferes in the match to continue his feud with Rhodes.
Brock Lesnar Possibly Returning To WWE Programming, Next Month
This week’s WWE Raw will feature Damian Priest wrestling his first match since joining the new heel stable led by WWE Hall of Famer Edge. As per WWE’s announcement, AJ Styles will be his opponent in this singles contest where Edge is likely to interfere in favor of Priest.
Priest provided a distraction that allowed Edge to defeat Styles at WrestleMania 38. Then on the post-Mania episode, Priest and Edge delivered a beatdown on Styles taking advantage of a 2-on-1 situation after the latter confronted them in the ring. As per consequence, WWE announced Styles vs. Priest for this week.

Edge and Priest are the only members of the heel stable but rumors are rife about how Rhea Ripley and Tommaso Ciampa could be the next names in the group. Last week on WWE RAW, Ripley and Liv Morgan come up short to new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi in a Championship Contender’s match.
Ripley abandoned Morgan in the ring after the latter one suffered the pinfall loss. But then Ripley revealed that Adam Pearce had granted them a title shot from Banks and Naomi on the very next episode of WWE Raw. Morgan and Ripley were seen on the same page but they’re likely to come up short during the title match after which Ripley may turn heel on Morgan and may thereby join Edge and Priest on the dark side faction.
Veer Mahaan vs. Rey Mysterio is also booked to happen for this week’s WWE Raw. After a long wait, RAW After WrestleMania finally witnessed Veer making his official red brand re-debut by attacking Rey and Dominik Mysterio after The Miz defeated Dominik in a squash match in under a couple of minutes.
Veer took out Dominik, then clotheslined Rey, and then made him watch Dominik getting punished with his Camel Clutch submission hold. WWE later announced Veer vs. Rey matchup where the newly debutant is expected to dominate to keep momentums by his side.
Lastly, a special edition of The VIP Lounge for Monday’s WWE Raw has also been announced after MVP turned on his former manager, Bobby Lashley. MVP started an alliance with Omos just days after Lashley ended Omos’ undefeated streak at WrestleMania 38. In the announced segment, MVP should explain his actions by addressing the WWE Universe from their VIP Lounge while Lashley may also be coming for redemption.
Back on this past week’s Smackdown, the New Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns noted how he achieved the two top golds at Wrestlemania but The Bloodline can still achieve something more.
Roman then said that Usos are two men with 2 Titles while he’s one man with 2 Titles. The Tribal Chief wanted to unify the Tag Team Titles, too. Hence, he wanted Usos to go to WWE Raw to win the RAW Tag Team Titles. As a result, the two right-hand men of Reigns will be there on tonight’s show to possibly have a confrontation with the red brand tag titleholders, Team RK-Bro.
WWE Events website and the host website’s arena of WWE Raw also have the following Superstars advertised – Lashley, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre, The New Day, RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro, RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. The Bloodline vs. McIntyre and The New Day is being advertised which could be a huge dark match once the main show gets over.
