WWE Raw will air this week for one final time before SummerSlam 2021 with the last-minute builds. A main-event segment and two matches for this episode have been announced. Randy Orton is scheduled to compete against gigantic Omos while Drew McIntyre will be in a Handicap Match. Plus, Goldberg is also booked from this episode that takes place from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.

WWE Raw Preview (16/08/21): Goldberg-Lashley Face-Off; Summerslam Go-Home Show 1

Randy Orton returned last week after a couple of months’ absence from WWE Raw. It was expected that he will provide backup to Riddle who was being ambushed by AJ Styles and Omos. But The Viper rather struck Riddle with an RKO after picking up a win over Styles. He apparently turned on his former tag team partner, teasing a rivalry, instead.

Now, Orton will face one-half of WWE RAW Tag Team Champions, Omos in singles action, this week. Despite Orton delivering the RKO to Riddle, the belief is that team RK-Bro is intact and they will challenge Omos and AJ Styles for the tag titles at SummerSlam 2021. The duo did have a hug-it-out session in the presence of John Cena once the main show of Raw went off the air.

A 2-on-1 Handicap Match has also been announced for WWE RAW where Drew McIntyre will be taking on Veer and Shanky. This comes as an effect of McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal being confirmed for SummerSlam this past Friday night. This upcoming match is expected to make the ongoing rivalry more intense.

Mahal and his two protégé were responsible for taking out Drew McIntyre from the Money In The Bank 2021 Ladder Match after which McIntyre punished Shanky with more than two dozen chair shots. This upcoming Handicap Match will actually be a rematch from the August 2 RAW episode, which witnessed McIntyre getting the DQ to win over Veer and Shanky.

WWE Legend Ric Flair And Charlotte Flair Attend AAA TripleMania

WWE RAW will also see Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg coming back for one more appearance to meet WWE Champion Bobby Lashley face-to-face before their title match showdown at SummerSlam 2021. While Goldberg has been claiming that Lashley is next, the All-Mighty Champion sent a stern message to the legendary superstar mentioning that at SummerSlam, he’s simply done. With the intensity growing strong in this feud, it’s likely that the two will go into a physical confrontation, tonight.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nikki Cross A.S.H. competed in a singles contest against Rhea Ripley, last week in her attempt to become a strong champion. This came after her clean pinfall win over Charlotte Flair. But the match against Ripley ended in a no-contest, thanks to the interference from Flair who delivered a beatdown on both the competitors before standing tall with the title. We’ll see how the champion and Ripley will backfire this week when Raw airs from Texas.
