WWE Raw wraps up its latest Canada tour with one last stop in Toronto where a WWE Hall of Famer will feature in the main event. After more than a decade, Edge will be in action in his hometown as his retribution process against Judgment Day continues.
Another WWE Hall of Famer and Canada-native, Trish Stratus will also return to the red brand after almost more than four years. Also, the Women’s Tag Team Championship tournament will continue through this week’s WWE Raw which takes place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
WWE Clash At The Castle 2022: New Championship Match Announced
With WWE Raw returning to Toronto, what better way to cap off the night with the hometown hero Edge featuring in the marquee spotlight? As confirmed by the WWE, the Rated-R Superstar will be competing against Damian Priest in the main event of the night as his redemption against Judgment Day continues.
On the August 8 WWE Raw episode, Damian Priest issued a challenge to the WWE Legend for a match on this week’s show in Toronto. He apparently wanted to finish his career in front of his family and friends. Then, Edge would appear on Raw Talk, later in the night to accept the challenge and make the match, official.
This will be Edge’s first match on WWE Raw since competing against Randy Orton on February 1, 2021, and his first match on WWE’s weekly television since his match against Seth Rollins on the September 10, 2021 episode of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden. This will also be Edge’s first match in Toronto in 12 years. The last time he wrestled here was in May 2010 against another Canadian hero, Christian.
Another WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus has been announced for a special appearance on tonight’s episode of WWE Raw from Toronto, Canada. The veteran has been on the road with the WWE for the latest Canadian tour of the company and she appeared in this past weekend’s live events, Kingston on Saturday and London on Sunday.
Trish Stratus also traveled with the WWE, the last time company stopped in Canada. She appeared in a non-televised live event back on March 27 and got into a confrontation with the then WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. There’s no update on what the seven-time women’s champion is scheduled to do this time around but she might just want to confront Bayley given their recent Twitter altercations.

WWE Raw Preview (22/08/22): Asuka and Alexa Bliss vs. Dakota Kai and Iyo SKY
An ongoing feud on WWE Raw will run through the ongoing WWE Women’s Tag Team Tournament for the vacant Women’s Tag Team Championships when the team of Asuka and Alexa Bliss compete against the tag team of Dakota Kai and Iyo SKY. This matchup is going to be the first semifinal of the tourney.
Alexa Bliss and Asuka advanced to the semifinals with a win over Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop on last Monday’s episode of WWE Raw. On the other hand, Kai and SKY advanced, two weeks ago with a win over WWE 24/7 Champion Dana Brooke and Tamina.
Bayley, Kai, and SKY returned to the WWE as a unit at SummerSlam following Bianca Belair’s successful title defense against Becky Lynch. The night after the heel trio took out Lynch and targeted Belair using the numbers game only to find Bliss and Asuka providing backup to Belair. At this point, the two teams are scheduled to compete in a six-woman tag team match at Clash at the Castle.
