WWE Raw is bringing the Money in the Bank go-home edition, this week which eyes to fill up the fray for the set ladder matches. But the hypes are bigger for the return of the franchise player of the WWE, John Cena who returns to celebrate his 20th anniversary in the company. Also, Kevin Owens is booked in a rematch with Ezekiel on the June 27 episode of WWE’s flagship show that takes place at the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas.
John Cena and WWE Raw have become synonymous, over the years. For almost 15 years, the superstar with ‘Hustle, Loyalty and Respect’ carried the red brand on his shoulder. Now, after a long gap f almost a year, WWE’s franchise player is back on board as the company throws a big celebration in his honor.
The Undertaker Announced For WWE Summerslam 2022 Weekend
Cena first debuted with WWE by answering an open challenge by WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle on Smackdown on June 27, 2002. After putting up a valiant effort, he lost against the Olympic Gold Medalist but that match changed the course of the WWE. That young kid from Massachusetts would go on to become one of the greatest superstars in the history of the WWE.
20 years later, on the same day of his WWE debut, the Cenation Leader returns home to celebrate his career milestone with the fans on WWE Raw. There’s no update on whether WWE plans to stick him around for some time or this would just be a one-off appearance but rumors suggest that he would be available for Summerslam 2022. Cena last wrestled at Summerslam in 2021 when he was defeated by Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship.

WWE Raw Preview (27/06/22): Money in the Bank 2022 buildups

Asuka pinned Becky Lynch with a vicious Roundhouse Kick on last week’s WWE Raw to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Lynch lost her temper as she lost the opportunity to have back her Women’s Title.
It should be noted that Lynch also lost a fatal-5-way that same night to become the new number-one contender for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship. Now, with all the roads blocked en route to Money in the Bank 2022, we have to find out whether she finds a new way to recuperate.
As for the confirmed participants for Money in the Bank 2022 ladder matches, Asuka, Shotizi, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan are the six names from the women’s division with one superstar remaining to be announced. From the men’s side, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Omos, and Sami Zayn are the confirmed names with two spots remaining to be filled.
For the first time since 2019, the WWE Raw audience got to “walk with Elias,” last week as he was back for a one-off concert. This appearance was also to prove that he and his brother Ezekiel are different identities. The two featured in a backstage segment talking about their careers while Zeke was backstage during Elias’ musical performances.
Per Kevin Owens, this proves nothing about Elias and Ezekiel being different persons. He was present during the concert to point out the same but Elias took his pendant guitar shot to take him out. An irate Owens then challenged Elias or Ezekiel or even their brother Elrod (if they have any) to a match that is being advertised for tonight’s WWE Raw.
