AJ Styles is one of the versatile performers from the WWE Raw roster who had also left his mark on the Smackdown brand. In fact, when the Smackdown Live roster was reintroduced back in 2016, the blue brand used to be ‘the house that AJ Styles built.’ But being a trustworthy shoulder, WWE always strategically utilized him on both the main roster shows.
Since 2019, AJ Styles has been on the WWE Raw side who’s also been converted into a babyafce and a heel for a number of occasions, given the situation’s demand. Currently, the top superstar is portraying the role of a babyface. However, if recent scenarios are any indications then once again a character change is reserved for him in the near future.

Styles and Rey Mysterio lost a tag team match to Damian Priest and Finn Balor of Judgment Day on WWE Raw. The finish saw Mysterio getting preoccupied with Dominik at ringside, trying to bring his son back from the dark side of Judgment Day. This distraction allowed Rhea Ripley to take out Rey at ringside and Styles was forced to fight the rest of the match all by himself.

WWE Raw: AJ Styles to turn on Rey Mysterio?
Using the number game, Priest and Balor easily secured the victory as the latter connected with his Coup De Grace finishing maneuver on Styles. The victim was understandably frustrated after the match with Mysterio and shoved him to the mat.
Moments after that, Styles was attacked by Judgment Day, right there. Styles was planted with a South of Heaven finisher by Damian Priest while Balor could be heard yelling at Styles to listen to him and join his group. This was somewhat a similar scene on WWE Raw just like the previous weeks where Balor wanted a reunion to happen with Styles.
This happening possibly implies that WWE has already hinted about a heel-turn for Styles who will eventually turn on Mysterio and join Judgment Day in the near future just like young Dominik has done in recent times on WWE Raw. In that case, Styles and Balor will finally be back on the same team after their Bullet Club days in Japan.
At this point, Judgment Day leader Finn Balor is scheduled to face WWE Hall of Famer Edge at the upcoming WWE premium live event, Extreme Rules 2022.
