It also generated the idea of the returnee to feature in a match at Wrestlemania 39 as the Show of Shows, this closer. However, there could be shockers in store for the fans.
As seen on the February 27 episode of WWE Raw, Lita, and Becky Lynch defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship in the main event matchup. During the finishing sequence, Trish Stratus returned to stop Bayley from interfering in the match and ensure that the babyfaces end up winning the title.

Since then, word going on is that we will be seeing Lita and Becky vs. Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler for the Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 39. Previously, the former champions were supposed to be challenged by Ronda and Shayna but the new lineup was sketched since it will feature more star power, fitting to the card of a grand show like Wrestlemania 39.

Lots of twists coming after Trish Stratus’ shocking WWE return
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that WWE is planning twists and turns as the build of this title matchup through the Road to WrestleMania 39. A matchup between Bayley and Trish Stratus could be churned out of the situation while we can’t also rule out a shocking heel-turn for the latter.
“The only thing we know is that the women’s tag title situation with the six women involved, as well as Bayley and Trish Stratus, has several twists and turns yet to come before the matches are finalized.
Whether that means another title change back, or a Stratus heel turn leading to that, or something else isn’t known past we’ve got more storyline to get to the destination of likely two different matches coming out of this. But Rousey & Baszler were to face whoever ends up as the tag team champions in a few weeks.”

Ronda Rousey recently admitted that she wanted to dominate the Women’s Tag Team Division with Shayna Baszler. It isn’t something that she’s “chasing necessarily” but at the same time, she won’t say no to a title match showdown. With her and Trish Stratus getting into the mix, we can finally hope the female tag team division gets amped up, after all.
