WWE Raw took place, this week in Toronto, Canada where two of the legendary names from this city were in attendance. WWE Hall of Famer Edge competed in the main event match of the evening while another WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made a special appearance. Both these superstars had something to say about their careers during or after the show.

As noted above, Edge competed in the main event match of WWE Raw where he battled against Damian Priest in a one-on-one match and picked up the win. After a hard-fought match, Edge hit a Canadian Destroyer followed by his pendant Spear to clinch the clean pinfall victory.

After the match, the rest of the Judgment Day faction attacked Edge when the wrestling veteran’s wife, Beth Phoenix made the save to end WWE Raw. Once the show went off the air, Edge took the mic and addressed the fans by mentioning that his comeback story started in Toronto when he hit a spear on Elias at SummerSlam 2019.

The eleven-time world champion then thanked all the fans and revealed his intention to retire from in-ring action when WWE visits Toronto again, the next summer, possibly for an episode of either WWE Raw/Smackdown. Here’s what he had to offer,

“I can’t wait to hopefully come back one last time here in Toronto. I’ve been looking at the calendar, we usually come here in August. So next August I plan on seeing each and every one of you. And in a perfect world, we all say goodbye to each other that night.”

Obviously, there’s a long year that’s to be followed as things could change but Edge has mentioned in recent times in interviews that he doesn’t want to stretch his wrestling career for a long time. That being said, the countdown has begun for the Rated R Superstar while his contemporary Trish Stratus is probably thinking of a comeback.
