Heading into this week’s WWE Raw, one of the top matches was confirmed featuring Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark. Originally, Trish Stratus was invited to face her current rival on the red brand show but being a heel, she turned down the offer and rather appointed her protégé to destroy The Man on Raw.
But then again, there were uncertainties around the match due to an injury situation. WRKD Wrestling noted the following and announced that the match could be off the card,
“Becky Lynch has suffered an injury and is currently waiting to be cleared. As a result, Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark will not be taking place on RAW.”

As a consequence, WWE also removed the match from their official website but the match later went down as per the schedule. The same source then offered an update regarding the change of situation. The top WWE Superstar was initially pulled off from the match but the injury was then declared not so server which allowed the WWE to put the match back on the card,
“Clarifying: Becky Lynch had suffered a minor injury and was not cleared initially early in the day upon arriving at the building. Because of this, Becky vs. Zoey was removed from advertising. However, throughout the day, she was thankfully cleared. Therefore the match went on.”

Moments before the commencement of Raw, Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that Becky Lynch and Zoey Stark’s match could be added back to the since the backstage hope was that she was about to get cleared to compete,
“Becky Lynch is currently not cleared for her match with Zoey Stark tonight, but it’s possible she’s cleared and the match is added back.”
Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus are going through an illustrious program on Raw and they’re clearly having a lot of fun on their way to SummerSlam. At this point, it’s safe to say that these two are booked to have a match at the Biggest Event of the Summer. Due to the above-mentioned injury rumors, the match was suddenly in jeopardy but that situation persists no more.
After Trish Stratus betrayed Becky Lynch on Raw and cost her the women’s tag team titles in April, the two competed in a match in Saudi Arabia where Zoey Stark’s presence helped the WWE Hall of Famer to pick up a win. Now, Lynch is determined to settle the score by seeking redemption at Summerslam.
