WWE: Reason Why Roman Reigns’ Promo Was Brilliant on Raw 1

The main event of Wrestlemania 34 was decided back at the Elimination Chamber PPV.

Roman Reigns won the men’s division matchup to become the official number one contender who will now challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. But, this move was not taken well by the fans, at all.

The pro-wrestling industry was fired up going on a rant over the planning of Vince McMahon who locked in his favourite, Roman Reigns to be in the main event spotlight.

This has been the same norm for the last three years which is why the #cancelwwenetwork is trending around following the bygone Raw-exclusive PPV. But, WWE has been able to counter-attack this with brilliant planning on this week’s WWE Raw.

A segment was supposed to feature on WWE Raw between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to start the buildup for Wrestlemania. But, later, it was altered with a single promo segment by the latter one who went for a shot against the champion. It was so good that garnered much attention from the pro-wrestling universe.

Even the fans who do not like Roman Reigns as the poster boy of the company acknowledged that it was a promo that needed to be watched again and again. The negative reaction was there for the franchise player of the company around the fans. So, the WWE Creative team kept Lesnar off the show and let Reigns went on a rant over his absence.

The point out of the fact the beast incarnate does not care about the fans and is bound by the contract with the company was a valid one. On the other hand, it is the Big Dog who works hard every single day in the company to sell out the house shows as well as the televised events. So, he deserves the respect which has been earned by him.

The fans who say Reigns does have poor mic skills need to be assured with this promo that was an absolute gem from the company and fans perspective. It has also paved the way for the Samoan superstars to be the top babyface of the company heading into Wrestlemania 34.

An incredible fact is that Brock Lesnar had spent merely 55 minutes in the ring in his televised match in the past one year, whereas, Seth Rollins spent 65 minutes in the recent bygone gauntlet match.

This proves that the part-time performer is not the kind of champion who should represent the company. Instead, it is Reigns who is THE GUY to do it, effectively.
