The capacity of Royal Rumble 2022 was just upped on last night’s Smackdown with a big announcement. WWE has confirmed 19 participants for the 30-Woman Rumble Match where a spree of former champions from the company alongside Hall of Famers will be coming back to action.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was the first name to be announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 match who is looking forward to moving to WrestleMania 38 to pick her own challenger. The current Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James, who will defend against Deonna Purrazzo at tonight’s Impact Hard To Kill pay-per-view, was also announced.

WWE Hall of Famers, The Bella Twins – Nikki Bella and Brie Bella have also been announced to make their much-anticipated comeback at Royal Rumble 2022. Following the confirmation, Nikki took to Twitter to dedicate her in-ring return to her son, Matteo.

The longest-reigning Divas Champion also sent a message to the reigning champions from Raw and Smackdown brand for a potential collision at Wrestlemania 38 as she looks forward to winning the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 match,

Nikki Bella thanked her doctor for Royal Rumble 2022 return
As you can see, Nikki also thanked her neurosurgeon, Dr. Juan Santiago Uribe, for clearing her to return to the squared circle. The Royal Rumble 2022 comeback news obviously made the Bella Army excited as the two former champions are trending on social media.
The Bella Twins last participated in a tag team match that happened on the September 3, 2018, episode of RAW where the twins defeated Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan of The Riott Squad. Nikki then wrestled her final singles match against Ronda Rousey at the Evolution pay-per-view on October 28, 2018.
Nikki later announced that a cyst on the brain forced her to retire from in-ring competition. But she eventually made it possible to make an entry to the fray of Royal Rumble 2022. Previously she and Brie were also part of the inaugural Women’s Rumble match in 2018.
