Coming out of this week’s episode of Smackdown, the biggest news is that Brock Lesnar is back on TV. He decided to insert himself into the championship picture by targeting the WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. A challenge issued by Paul Heyman was accepted by Kofi only to suffer the wrath of the beast incarnate who executed an emphatic F-5. With that, the main-event match between these two for the WWE title is also set for Smackdown debut on FOX on October 4th.

Now it was a no-brainer to guess that Brock Lesnar was about to be part of Smackdown Live following this return. Previous updates have also suggested that FOX officials wanted him to be the marquee attraction on Friday nights to increase viewership. So there were no doubts about his regular appearances on the blue brand, moving forward. But that may not be the case, as per a future advertisement.

According to a new advertisement from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, Brock Lesnar will be present on WWE Raw, as well. This venue is hosting the season premiere of WWE’s flagship show on September 30th and hence listed the beast incarnate for an appearance. With a title match looming in within a few days, Lesnar is likely to send a message to the current WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston on Smackdown.
We should note that this episode of WWE Raw will happen before the Draft returns. It means the Wildcard Rule will still be in effect in WWE. By this, Brock Lesnar will be free to appear on both Raw and SmackDown Live. But there’s no confirmation on whether he would be appearing on both the shows once the Draft gets over. We have to wait for sometimes to know more about how WWE decides to use this marquee superstar.
In case you’ve missed, WWE.com has confirmed Draft to return with the following statements,
“The destiny of WWE’s Superstars will be determined during a two-night draft taking place live on Friday Night SmackDown® on October 11 at 8 pm ET on the FOX broadcast network and Monday Night Raw® on October 14 at 8 pm ET on USA Network.
On both nights of the draft, Superstars from Raw and SmackDown will appear along with personalities from FOX and NBCUniversal programming who will announce select picks from each brand. The draft will determine the Superstars that compete for Raw and SmackDown, which feature distinct casts, unique storylines, and dedicated writing teams.”
