Mike and Maria Kanellis have always played the role of a controversial couple who has pulled off questionable antics. The latest one appeared to be a horrible one where Maria is claiming that Mike is not responsible for it.
As of now, Maria Kanellis confirmed that Rusev is the father of the unborn child. But that may not be the case, as per the storyline perspective. It is purely a storyline angle that must be continuing for a long time, starting from now. It was the same reason why Maria first chose Ricochet on a random basis because she thought it to be a good choice to fire up her husband.

On the post-RAW edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Rusev may not be the real father of the unborn baby of Maria Kanellis. This angle must become a long-lasting storyline featuring Rusev, Mike and Maria.
“Rusev is not the father. I don’t know how they will get out of it next week but next week they will tell us that he is not the father. I think. I’m pretty sure about that actually. I think the reveal of the father is going to be like something like a long, long, long-term thing.”

Rusev has stayed quiet on this issue the whole time being except for posting sarcastic tweets. But Ricochet’s real-life partner Kacy Catanzaro commented on Maria Kanellis claims from RAW. She posted the following on Twitter to which her man also replied,

As of now, the angle started on Raw is hard to figure out at a glance. This must be a perfect plan to upping Mike Kanellis’ status on the roster. Even Rusev will get benefit from the program as he’s been the talk of the IWC, ever since the return happened.
