WWE Rumour: Goldberg To Return To WWE For One More Match
Jun 15, 2017 at 4:27 PM
Ever since Goldberg returned to the WWE back in last year’s October, he’s been proven as a major box office attraction for the company. In whichever arena he did show up, a standing ovation was reserved for him. The Survivor Series PPV 2016 turned out to be a major success for WWE. Hence, his deal with the company extended until the Wrestlemania 33.
He walked into the showcase of immortals as the Universal champion to face Brock Lesnar. He lost the championship against the beast which has ended his career, supposedly. A goodbye message was given by him after Monday Night Raw went off the air, in the post-Wrestlemania episode. The Myth seemed so humble to the audience for giving him the opportunity for working harder ever since coming back to the WWE.
Now, with that being said, it is evident that we have seen the last of Goldberg in the WWE. But, there’s a catch, always. He himself declared never say never in the pro-wrestling business giving hint that there might some more fuels left inside him.
The same was teased once again during a TV commercial photo shared by him on Instagram. He used many hashtags in the picture including the one of his return, at some point. Check out it, here:
Vince McMahon does understand the requirement of an inhuman babyface in the roster to square off against the biggest heels. He always wanted to keep Goldberg around WWE for some more time. Previous rumours suggested that Vince might have offered a contract to him that will remain intact till Wrestlemania 34.
The former WCW franchise has appeared on Jim Ross’ podcast to discuss his routine following Wrestlemania. He stated that he has followed a strict regimen to perform against Lesnar at Mania that helped him to get back his physique. So, he will continue to keep on the training session on in case he gets called back.
Dave Meltzer also gave a positive nod to it saying that WWE will need him for next year. So, he will resurface, once again prior to Wrestlemania 34 in New Orleans. Goldberg was one of the top merchandise sellers during his stint and there’s no way that WWE will not look forward to using him in some more capacities.
