For the past several days, the contract situation of Drew McIntyre is a matter of discussion amongst the WWE Universe. As much as it sounds shocking, the top WWE Superstar is having a situation where he might just have to leave the company after not being on the same page with WWE officials regarding the renewal of the contract.
As rumors continue to swirl in, Drew McIntyre may indeed be leaving the WWE if he doesn’t come to terms on a new deal, sooner than later. According to a previous report by PWInsider, McIntyre’s current contract is in its final year which was last renewed in 2019 for a five-year term, meaning this is the last year in the deal.

Since getting traded to Smackdown in 2021, Drew McIntyre’s run with WWE has been very lackluster as he was time and time again overshadowed by the undisputed champion Roman Reigns. His contract is reportedly set to expire within the next nine months but not it looks like it be ended by this coming summer. Interestingly, the superstar himself hinted at exploring other options before deciding on his future.
Meanwhile, speculations around his future were further fueled up after Wrestlemania 39 after Drew McIntyre was pinned in the Triple Threat Intercontinental Title Match also featuring Sheamus and the champion Gunther. This was his first clean pinfall loss without interference in a long time and this can’t be considered just a coincidence.
