That being said, the former franchise figure of the WWE is back full-time with the promotion for the first time since the summer of 2021. There’s no update on what WWE possibly plans around him but previous reports suggested that Grayson Waller could be gunning for him.

For the time being, WWE has confirmed that John Cena will feature in the main event of the WWE Superstar Spectacle Live Event in India. On that night, he will team up with the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins from Raw to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci of Imperium in a tag team match. This will also mark the Cenation Leader’s first matchup in the subcontinent.

John Cena last competed in a match against Austin Theory at this year’s Wrestlemania 39 in Hollywood where he lost against the top brass heel superstar with the United States Title hanging in the balance. Before this, he competed at Wrestlemania in 2020 against the late Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) in a unique Firefly Funhouse Match.
