Coming off a star-studded Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia, WWE Smackdown will have yet another mammoth edition set for next week. It’s going to be a special one since the ruler of the roost will celebrate crossing 1000 days as a reigning champion. Besides, the setup of Money in the Bank 2023 ladder matches will also begin.
Over on the June 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, at least two of the roster members, one from the male roster and the other from the female roster will book their slots in the opportunistic ladder matches. LA Knight is having momentums behind him as he picked up a win over Rick Boogs, this Friday Night. Now, he is scheduled to take on Montez Ford of The Street Profits in a Money in the Bank qualifying match.

Going by the earlier reports, the WWE Smackdown Superstar isn’t only the favorite to be in the lineup of Money in the Bank men’s division matchup but he’s also the favorite to come out as the winner of the upcoming ladder match. After heading into Saudi Arabia for the Night of Champions PLE, he also reportedly got tremendous babyface reactions from the local audience.
In another qualifier announced for WWE Smackdown, next week, Zelina Vega will battle Lacey Evans to determine a participant from the women’s division ladder matchup. Vega is the favorite to win this qualifier. She came up short against Rhea Ripley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Backlash earlier this month. She also received massive reactions from her hometown fans on that night. For Evans, it will be her first televised match in more than a couple of months.

Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will also be on WWE Smackdown during the next episode. He is being advertised to celebrate 1000 days as champion. Originally, he will touch the 1000th-day landmark, today at Night of Champions which made the fans think about a celebration at the PLE. But it has been moved into the next blue brand show.
