The final SmackDown TV episode before WrestleMania Backlash will go down, tonight with a confrontation set between the Universal Champion and his current challenger. Women’s Tag Team Championships will be defended in a WrestleMania rematch while we also expect more announcements regarding the PPV when the show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

In last week’s Throwback SmackDown edition, legendary General Manager Theodore Long returned to the scene and announced that Cesaro could beat Seth Rollins in the scheduled match then he would earn the right to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash. Via interferences from Jimmy and Jey Uso, Cesaro managed to pin The Messiah.

WWE Smackdown: Spoiler On Two Major Title Changes And Big Debut

The win handed him the opportunity that he has been waiting for so long. For the first time in his career, Cesaro will compete in a world title match as he goes one-on-one with the Universal Champion Roman Reigns at this Sunday’s PPV event, with the title hanging in the balance. To hype up the match, the two will feature in a one last stand segment on SmackDown.

WWE Smackdown Preview (14/05/21): One Last Stand; Women's Tag Title Match 1

To make things interesting, the Swiss Superman isn’t the only problem that Roman Reigns is dealing with. He brought back Jimmy Uso to replace the former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan who’s been expelled from the blue brand. But the elder Uso has some apparent issues to ‘fall in line’ with the Head of the Table.

It was primarily Jimmy who is the reason behind Cesaro gaining the upper hand during his match against Seth Rollins. The SmackDown Savior isn’t happy about it and he wants to take care of business which could set up a singles contest between the two of them at WrestleMania Backlash.

WWE Smackdown Preview (14/05/21): Women’s Title Match Storylines

A confrontation took place between Bayley and Bianca Belair to plug in their scheduled match at Backlash where the challenger prevailed. The SmackDown Women’s Champion was pulled by her earrings by Bayley who was able to send a strong message. The Role Model isn’t done chasing the gold and the EST of the WWE will have to retaliate, as soon as possible.

WWE’s Natalya And Jenni Neidhart Feel Over-Dressed In Black?

WWE Smackdown Preview (14/05/21): One Last Stand; Women's Tag Title Match 2

In a rematch from WrestleMania 37, Natalya and Tamina Snuka will challenge the Women’s Tag Team Champions – Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler with the titles on the line. Last week, Tamina squared off against Reginald in a singles contest who had the upper hand with a Superkick but then the champions pounced on her causing the disqualification.

Both Nia and Shayna delivered a beatdown on Tamina. Natalya came for the save but the numbers game wasn’t in her favor. That beating perhaps made the duo even stronger than before as they continue their quest to clad themselves with the pair of belts. Will they be successful in their mission? We have to keep our eyes on SmackDown to receive the answers.
