The second episode of SmackDown following WrestleMania 37 is slated to air, this week to potentially begin the storylines for the next pay-per-view. Named WrestleMania Backlash, the event is likely to stretch out the unfinished businesses from the Biggest Event of the Year. Champions are expected to receive new opponents when the show airs from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
Roman Reigns made a triumphant statement on SmackDown, last week after his victory over Edge and Daniel Bryan in the Triple Threat at WrestleMania 37. He claimed that there was no one left for him to face when Cesaro dared to step up as he was confident enough after his victory over Seth Rollins on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

The interruption delighted the WWE Universe for a bit as the two confronted teasing mouth-watering future bout but then Roman Reigns openly disrespected The Swiss Superman by making his exit without saying a word. The SmackDown Savior was fuming from the big loss at WrestleMania 37 and claimed that the feud isn’t over. That being said, Cesaro won’t be in the Universal Title picture, right away as he’d be busy wrapping up his program with Rollins. That leaves the challenger’s position vacant for the Universal Title.
The question remains who’d be brave enough to go toe-to-toe against Roman Reigns. Will Hall of Famer Edge be back for the singles match that he never receive? Or, WWE might plan to insert someone from the active roster into the scenario.
Speaking of the title picture, the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair claimed that WrestleMania 37 was just the beginning for her to start making history. The celebration will continue for her with Street Profits by her side but a certain Sasha Banks would be there to spoil the party.
She’s still seething over the fact hoe Beliar used her braids to leave a scar on her belly. So she’d be more than happy to make a major statement and thereby receive the rematch over the title.

As for the other titles, Natalya earned a clean pinfall win over Shayna Baszler, last week. Hence she and Tamina Snuka will still be after the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews also declared that he has no problems in giving a rematch to Big E and hence this rivalry will also continue when SmackDown airs with its latest installment.
