WWE Universe was thrilled to witness two mega returns at SummerSlam 2021 those are likely to make big changes on the SmackDown roster, starting from this week. While no official segment has been announced for this week’s episode, fallouts from the bygone event will be the main focus. Both the returnees should make their presence felt on the blue brand show that takes place at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

WWE SummerSlam main event witnessed Roman Reigns retaining his WWE Universal Title over John Cena in a mega collision. After pinning Cena, Reigns stood tall with the strap as Paul Heyman joined him in the ring. The celebration was interrupted as Brock Lesnar’s music hit and the arena amid huge pop from the audience.

Lesnar went to the ringside area and stood on top of the steel steps, staring Reigns down. A furious Reigns watched from the ring until Lesnar entered the ring, staring him down. Reigns then opted to leave the ring, leaving the fight for another day. Now, a promo has been released for SmackDown where The Beast is being advertised to make his first presence since late 2019 and he’s coming after the title.

Brock Lesnar Reportedly Under WWE Contract Until 2023

WWE Smackdown Preview (27/08/21): Brock Lesnar-Becky Lynch Set For Appearance? 1

The promo is also containing another returnee from SummerSlam 2021, Becky Lynch. She made her surprise comeback as the replacement for Sasha Banks, who was to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title. After the match bell hit, Lynch offered Belair her hands for a shake, and Belair accepted, but Lynch then hit her in the jaw, then dropped her with the pumphandle slam for the pinfall win in just seconds.

With that win, Becky Lynch has started the fourth reign with the SmackDown Women’s Title ending the reign of Belair who won the title from Sasha Banks back at WrestleMania 37 Night One. As per the reports of PWInsider, The Man will now become a top heel on Friday nights, moving forward who will now enter in a feud against Belair over the title. Tonight, Lynch might just solidify her heel-turn by cutting a promo.

WWE Smackdown Preview (27/08/21): Edge vs. Rollins to continue

WWE Smackdown Preview (27/08/21): Brock Lesnar-Becky Lynch Set For Appearance? 2

At WWE SummerSlam, Edge and Seth Rollins finally met in the ring in a match that many fans considered being the best match of the night. Once the dust was cleared, Edge emerged victorious by making Rollins tap out to the Crossface Sleeper submission. In a post-match interview, the Rated-R Superstar advised Rollins to stay away from him, now onwards,

“Seth lit something up in me and pushed me into a really really dark place. It’s not fun to go there because it’s hard to come out of there, but I knew I needed to. I think Seth underestimated me. As much as I respect his ability, if Seth is smart, he stays the hell away from me.”

By the looks of it, Edge vs. Seth Rollins is yet to be over and a second installment is definitely coming at Extreme Rules, next month. Edge is being advertised for the upcoming SmackDown shows, affirming that he will continue the ongoing program.

Baron Corbin is out to find his luck for the past several weeks. He was asking for money from fans and superstars for a long time but with a loss to Kevin Owens, two weeks ago, he’s now banned to do so. It appears that SummerSlam brought him some luck as he scored big in those Las Vegas casinos. More on this story will unfold as the post-SummerSlam edition SmackDown airs, tonight.
