King Corbin competed against Dominik Mysterio on SmackDown with Rey Mysterio at ringside. Corbin went for a tilt-a-whirl side-slam but Dominik countered with a DDT for a 2-count. Corbin dropped him on the second rope and then executed the End of Days to secure the win. After the match, Corbin went for an attack on Rey but he was driven to the ring post. Rey delivered a senton to end the segment.
A couple of backstage segments took place where Big E was attacked by Raw Superstars The Miz and John Morrison. Afterward, Reginald wanted to gift a bottle of wine to Sasha Banks who denied it. It was announced that Sasha will compete against Carmella at The Rumble.

Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens had a verbal confrontation on SmackDown where the two joined the show from different places. Owens promised to become the new Universal Champion at Rumble to end the segment.
