ToggleIn a Tribal Combat at Summerslam, Roman Reigns defeated Jey Uso to retain his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Jey was very close to defeating The Bloodline leader with Spear followed by The Uso Splash but then Jimmy Uso interfered in the match and betrayed Jey Uso.
Jimmy launched a sudden attack on his brother and him back in the ring, allowing Roman Reigns to pin him with a spear through the table. Thus, he caused his own twin brother the top-most prize in sports entertainment and this would perhaps set up a Wrestlemania 40 match between the two of them.
That’s a long story and we are likely to get some hint about their booking indication when Smackdown airs, this week on FOX. Roman Reigns is still booked to appear in the headliner segment of the post-Summerslam edition despite the injury scare around him. This only means that WWE’s plans are moving without any changes and they might continue to remain that way.

No creative changed to be forced upon Roman Reigns’ injury
Ringside News asked around about the plans, and they were told by a tenured member of the creative team that, “Roman is injured, but it won’t change any plans.” It was added that there’s something wrong with the Tribal Chief but that won’t cost him any future matches scheduled for him.
Furthermore, it was also mentioned that Roman Reigns isn’t expected to drop his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, anytime soon. The Bloodline saga is admittedly in the bottom of the third inning as mentioned by Paul Heyman as we expect to see more and more twists, down the road.
Roman Reigns was pulled off Summerslam press conference
Speaking of Heyman, he was not originally planned to talk about The Bloodline at the post-Summerslam press conference. Ringside News was able to confirm from a tenured member of the WWE team that Roman Reigns was originally set to appear at the media conference after the biggest party of the summer. But then Paul Heyman came out alone to face questions since his Tribal Chief was dealing with an undisclosed injury.
Thankfully, though multiple reports confirmed that things are not much serious about the top-most attraction for the WWE. Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown this week, and hopefully, that will book him for more dates on the road. Ultimately, his part-time schedule will afford him a lot of time off to get het healed from the Summerslam battle scars.
