Ronda Rousey is one hybrid athlete who made it big in the world of MMA as well as in the WWE, over the past decade. She has established herself as one of the top female performers within WWE since debuting in 2018 in the least amount of time. Before signing with the company, she was the most famous female athlete in UFC.
While many believed that her transition to pro wrestling would be quite a tough thing but it was rather smooth. She wasn’t alone in arriving in the company as her MMA Four-Horsewomen buddies, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke also got to step inside the squared circle alongside her.

While the latter duo has found their way out of the WWE, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler are still under contract with the brand. This is the reason why she recently expressed her desire to take over WWE brand with the longest-reigning NXT Women’s Champion in history.

Ronda Rousey wants to team up with Shayna Baszler
On a recent episode of “The Baddest Stream On The Planet,” the UFC Hall of Famer revealed that she’d like to “take over” things in the WWE with her bestie Shayna Baszler. Ronda Rousey stated the following upon getting asked by a fan about which current WWE star she wants to team up with,
“Um, Shayna [Baszler]? Let’s go. Let’s take this s*** over. Well, then I guess we’d just have to do, like, the best match ever to solve it. You know what would be even better? If all Four Horsewomen were in the WWE and they let us work together.” (quotes courtesy Ringside News)
Shayna Baszler is also a former MMA fighter and Ronda Rousey has always hoped that WWE will eventually bring all Four Horsewomen of MMA together inside the squared circle. There have been speculations about a match between the MMA Four Horsewomen vs. WWE Four Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, and Bayley) in the past but nothing came out of those discussions.
Ronda Rousey is currently assigned to the WWE Smackdown brand who’s a three-time Women’s Champion in her career. Shayna Baszler is also on the same roster which opens the possibility of a tag team formation in the near future that might allow them to go after the tag team championships.
