AJ Styles came up short in winning the World Heavyweight Championship and bringing the belt to WWE Smackdown. Despite the shortcoming, he always remains at the top of the food chain in the WWE by competing at a very high level, despite his age. This week, one of the best pro wrestlers considered by both fans and his peers celebrated his 46th birthday and will continue to be involved in his ongoing feud.

AJ Styles and his OC cohorts were drafted to WWE Smackdown during the 2023 edition of Draft and since then, they are making a splash as a team on Friday nights. As they continue to be a team, a singles feud featuring The Phenomenal One will also seemingly continue.

AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross to continue on WWE Smackdown

BWE tweeted out behind their private Twitter account that AJ Styles vs. Karrion Kross program will continue to be a top feature on WWE SmackDown, this week. “Styles Kross continues” was the short message that the source had to offer as time will only tell how the creative team is willing to drag the program in the upcoming days.

Given that Money in the Bank will be the next destination for WWE programming Styles vs. Kross could go down at the PLE. However, nothing is confirmed regarding that match, at this point. These two have previously participated in a singles bout on WWE Smackdown.

Before returning to in-ring competition on WWE Smackdown, Styles had been out of action for the longest period in his WWE career starting from December 2022. He did miss Wrestlemania 39 in Hollywood due to action. Reflecting on the break, she spoke with Sportsmail about it in recent times and stated the following,

“I will tell you this. I thought I might go stir-crazy being stuck at home and not being able do to what I wanted to do, which I did a little bit. I wanna go when I wanna go and do what I wanna do and when you’ve got a boot and crutches it just hinders that and it will drive you nuts. That’s what drove me crazy, not being unable to be in a wrestling ring as I thought it would.”
