Deonna Purrazzo is out for collecting belts and thereby cementing her legacy as a strong Women’s champion of this generation. Following her WWE departure from last year, she has now added one more gold to her collection. She was out to compete in an all-star indie show booked by a Mexican promotion in a title match. By the end, she ended up capturing the Women’s Championship, after all.
On the Triplemania XXIX event, Deonna Purrazzo competed in a title vs. title match where She put her Impact Wrestling Knockouts Title up for grabs against Faby Apache, who headed into the match as the AAA Reina de Reinas Title. The Impact star ended up taking the win and becoming the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship in this Winner Takes All match.
Deonna Purrazzo acted as a heel and it was pretty clear that the referee was on her side. The referee shoved Apache off before the match began and he also pulled Purrazzo’s hand to the ropes as she was about to be trapped within a submission move. The match official even offered a slower count when Apache went for pins while he did the opposite when Purrazzo was attempting the pinfalls.

Deonna Purrazzo is currently a dual champion
The finishing sequences of the match saw Apache going for a top-rope move but the referee helped her opponent to get the back-up. Then Apache nailed the referee with a hurricanrana off the top rope followed by another hurricanrana. Deonna Purrazzo capitalized on this distraction with a spike package piledriver on Apache. She then applied the Fujiwara Armbar for the submission victory.
After the match, the referee gladly handed both the titles to Deonna Purrazzo who snatched them and posed as a dual champion. At this point, nothing is clear what the AAA promotion has planned for the new champion and who will step up to challenge the newly-crowned Reina de Reinas Champion but for now. For now, the former WWE Superstar will definitely enjoy some time as a champion in the Mexican promotion.
The reigning Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo is also scheduled to defend her Knockouts Championship against former WWE Superstar Melina at NWA Empower on Saturday, August 28. She promised the official Mickie James of this All-Women event about participating in this. Then it was Mickie who picked the opponent for her for this future title defense.
