WWE: Update on Stone Cold’s appearance on Raw 25th anniversary

The 25th anniversary of WWE Raw is in the history books. It was promoted as the biggest of all-time. Despite all the hypes going around, the show is said to be under-delivered, overall. With so many superstars present on the show, the creative team could have done much better in the evening.
So, the Raw 1000th episode was far better than this one, according to many of the fans.
Although the viewership for this episode of WWE Raw was great with so much promotion going around, it failed to retain the attention in the second and third hours, consecutively.
One of the major reasons for that was to host the show on two different venues, unnecessarily. The Manhattan Center was not a proper venue to host this generation’s show with the fewer fireworks.
However, there was one man who got the job done for the WWE. Coming out on the very first segment of the show, he raised some hell alongside his ‘old friend’, Vince McMahon.
The Boss started to show his usual antics going heel over all the fans in Brooklyn, New York when the Texas Rattlesnake, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived to counter-attack him taking us back to the Attitude Era.
Stone Cold arrived in style celebrating on each of the corners in the turnbuckle before giving a stunner to Shane McMahon. When everybody thought that he would spare Vince McMahon for his growing age, a vintage stunner was delivered to the Boss too, much to the delight of the fans.
In a recent report of Sports Illustrated, it was stated as of why Stone Cold was scheduled to appear on the opening segment. Vince McMahon decided to digest a stunner to attract more casual fans to the show and create more expectations for the entire show. His motto was to drag the fans back to TV programming on the road to Wrestlemania 34.
According to stillrealtous.com, the overall show failed to retain viewers after falling short of the expectations:
“This strategy probably helped a lot in getting a big audience and keeping them throughout the entire show. After all, they did pretty well when it comes to ratings. 4.53 million people tuned in to watch raw and although the number dipped by around 650,000 through the three-hour broadcast, they still did a pretty good job keeping people on board.”
It was a treat for the fans to witness Stone Cold back onboard in style. The legend delivered to the fullest as we wait for the next time he shows up on TV.
