SmackDown Women’s Title match has officially been announced for WWE SummerSlam 2021. Sasha Banks gets to challenge Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Title at the upcoming pay-per-view in an expected match. This is going to be Banks’ rematch after dropping the title at WrestleMania 37 in a critically acclaimed match.
This week’s SmackDown on the Road to SummerSlam 2021 opened with Sasha Banks coming to the ring to explain her actions from last week where she returned and then turned on Belair. Banks mentioned that she will never let anyone take her spotlight, ever again. Reiterating her phrase from last week, she once again mentioned how Belair would be nothing without her.
The Legit Boss also mentioned how she came back to make Belair pay after watching from home while Belair disrespected her each week, as she never sounded grateful for anything Banks did for her, like allow her to stand across the ring from greatness at WrestleMania 37. That appeared to be quite the heel act from the former champion.

Bianca Belair then interrupted with a response, but the conversation was soon interrupted by Zelina Vega who wanted a title shot of her own. The segment ended with Belair affirming that she will see Banks at WWE SummerSlam 2021. Being a fighting champion, she also ended up announcing that she will defend against Vega later the night.
Later, WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville ruled that Zelina Vega must face Belair in a Championship Contender’s match tonight, and if she could win then she can challenge the champion after WWE SummerSlam 2021. In that match, Belair sent Vega head-first into the barrier before planting her with the Kiss of Death finisher to pick up the win and thereby keeping Vega out of the title picture.
