The Rock was present at the Staples Center during this week’s Monday Night Raw. He was there to shoot his own production house movie which is based on Paige’s life. However, he did not make any televised appearance and settled to give a treat to the fans in attendance, only.

The People’s champ made a couple of entrances before and after the show. During the second appearance, he informed the crowd that they will be filming the sequence where Paige defeated AJ Lee for the Divas title the night after Wrestlemania 30. Once that happened, the crowd erupted with loud CM Punk chants.

The Rock wanted to give the fans a pleasant surprise and hence called CM Punk out on the show by dialing his number. These were totally uncalled actions for the WWE creative since he went out of the script. This is not the first time that the Great One has done so while cutting a promo in front of the audience.

Both the creative heads, Vince McMahon and Triple H were not happy with this happening in front of the whole world. A person was sent to the ring to stop the Rock from doing so. He was also told that his mic will go off if he does so. This is why he uttered “wait, the mic better not be killed” before sending the voice message to Punk.

Later, he explained on Twitter as of why he has done so. This was an innovative idea from the Rock’s mind to garner some attention from the WWE Universe. Although, the WWE is unhappy with this, they are not going to take any actions against him. They need him more than he needs them.
