The complexion of Smackdown Live changed, last week. It was supposed to be the celebration of Daniel Bryan returning to in-ring competition.
But, the auspicious moment was cut short with the vicious beatdown from the two heels of the show. The general manager was injured. A major fallout should be reserved on this week’s episode for the same.
Furthermore, the injury for the WWE Champion might have also been a headache for the officials, lately.
This should get addressed, too. Plus, a huge tag team match is confirmed to take place on this week’s Smackdown comprising the participants of the US title match. The show will emanate from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Good news given on last week’s episode was quickly turned into a bad one by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
Owens delivered his pendant powerbomb on the GM sending his neck into the ring apron. Bryan was stretchered out of the arena following the show. We have not heard about his status, till now which should be given on the show, tonight.
It is expected that a new match would be announced based on what happened. Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon would team up to take on the two heels, Owens and Zayn. It should mark the comeback match of the GM at the biggest event of the year. Furthermore, the heel superstars are supposed to get back their status from the earlier ‘fired’ stage.
The fans are really concerned about the status of AJ Styles. As per previous reports, he has been suffering from an injury that prohibits him from competing inside the ring. The Wrestlemania match is in jeopardy, as well. He was seen in a live event performing in a house show wiping out the speculations. But, we should get some official news on his condition on Smackdown. His Wrestlemania opponent, Nakamura will get the singles match against Shelton Benjamin.
Last week, a big tag team match was announced to take place on this week’s show. Randy Orton and Bobby Roode will team up in the contest against Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh. There are some doubts whether Orton and Roode can compete side by side. So, Mahal is expected to take advantage of the situation. We should not be surprised if another sneak win is reserved for him.
Charlotte Flair will continue building momentums against Asuka, in the women’s division. Tonight, she will get a rematch against Natalya from last week.
The Bludgeon Brothers are constantly going after the champions, as they intend to get the titles held by them. After weeks of such altercations, this title match between these two teams should get confirmed at Wrestlemania. Meanwhile, they will compete in a match against The New Day.
