WWE has dropped the big news of releasing Zelina Vega. There’s no confirmation yet on what led to this sudden release, but several theories are running around the rumor mill. She was drafted to SmackDown in October who last wrestled on last week’s show in a Team SmackDown Qualifier for Survivor Series 2020 with Natalya and the winner, Ruby Riott in the lineup.
Zelina Vega is married to SmackDown Superstar Aleister Black in real-life. She was signed with WWE in June 2017 who debuted on the WWE NXT brand. To manage Andrade Cien Almas. She was then brought to the main roster in the 2018 Superstar Shakeup alongside the former NXT Champion. Vega was recently faced Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship as she was trying to phase out from her managerial role in the WWE.

It’s believed that Zelina Vega was also reportedly fired over her OnlyFans account which she continued using despite WWE’s ban on third-party apps on their superstars. Paige who often streams with Vega saw this release news and she only had two words to offer. “This sucks.” She also included a sad emoji to further express her feelings on this matter.
Zelina Vega also took to Twitter tonight to issue her first comments since her WWE release, earlier the night. Vega thanked everyone for her time in WWE, mentioning how it’s been an incredible journey. She also said that she couldn’t do it without anyone’s support.
“I want to say thank you all very much for the last 3-4 years @WWEUniverse, it was incredible. I would have never have been able to say ‘this is for you dad’ if certain people did not believe in me. I love you all and I couldn’t have done it without your support [folded hands emoji],” she wrote.
