WWE Stomping Grounds Result: Becky Lynch Helps Seth Rollins To Retain Title

As declared by WWE.com, the new United States Champion will have a massive challenge in-store just after overcoming Samoa Joe at Stomping Grounds. The Phenomenal One will be waiting for him in a first-time ever match that is the headliner of WWE Raw. Also, the championship storylines should kick-off for the next big event in July i.e. Extreme Rules. This week’s episode of the flagship show takes place at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington.

WWE Stomping Grounds Result: Alexa Bliss Failed To Win Title From Bayley

Stomping Grounds witnessed an interesting end where Becky Lynch helped Seth Rollins to win the main event match. It was a clever trick from the WWE creative team to utilize the real-life couple onto TV storyline that may go forward. We can’t rule out to see them teaming up together when WWE Raw airs tonight.

Plus, both of them are reigning champions on WWE Raw who should have been over with the former challengers. Seth Rollins defeated Baron Corbin whereas Becky Lynch retained against Lacey Evans. These victories must have ended the existing feuds for good that should start new championship rivalries on WWE Raw. So we are likely to see new number one contenders for the men and women’s championships on the show.

Ricochet showed tremendous resiliency against Samoa Joe to win the United States Championship. It was not easy to defeat a behemoth like him but he pulled off the unthinkable. But will his title run last long? Just one night after that grueling battle, Ricochet finds himself in a match against AJ Styles. His title will be on the line as per WWE.com,

“Ricochet took full advantage of his first singles title opportunity by overcoming Samoa Joe to capture the esteemed United States Championship. Now that he’s titleholder, however, it is clear that he will have no shortage of challengers.

Case in point: Moments after AJ Styles, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson invited themselves into the new titleholder’s photoshoot, The Phenomenal One said he would see Ricochet on Raw. WWE.com has since learned that the two Superstars will, in fact, square off in a non-title match. Will Ricochet rise above? Will Styles end the celebration and set himself up with a future title opportunity? Will the defeated Samoa Joe play a role in the contest?”

As you can see from the preview, Samoa Joe may try to interfere in this match, just to ensure that Ricochet does not possess the title by the end of WWE Raw. But we guess this match will only start a new rivalry over the US title that will continue for weeks to come. It may be a three-way scene for the mid-card title as Joe, Styles, and Ricochet engage in a battle.

Roman Reigns may have overcome the odds at Stomping Grounds defeating Drew McIntyre. But it has only made the heel superstar frustrated than ever. As claimed at the backstage of the PPV event, he is trying to make Reigns’ life miserable on tonight. If their conversation was any hint then we are probably seeing a handicap match on WWE Raw. McIntyre and McMahon will try to deliver another beatdown on The Big Dog as the journey to Extreme Rules begins.
