The Women’s Tag Team titles were brought into the context in December 2018. At that point, fans had demanded these belts for quite sometimes in order to help the Women’s Evolution in WWE.
The belts were unveiled in January as we have received the first-ever champions inside the Elimination Chamber, last year. But the road to glory for the women’s tag team titles perhaps ended right there.

The titles were not given much care and thereby these haven’t gained much legitimacy. They are either rarely featured or defended on WWE television which already earned major backlash from the women’s division. Now, Alexa Bliss, one of the prominent names from the female roster openly blasted WWE for not getting bigger attention to the newer belts.

Alexa Bliss recently spoke with Metro in the United Kingdom, noting on this topic. She wanted the women’s tag belts to play a more prominent role at WrestleMania 36, this year.
“I would love for us to go for the tag team championships again. We’re establishing the women’s tag division still, and there’s no better place to showcase the titles than at WrestleMania!” Alexa Bliss said.

Little Miss Bliss then continued saying that WWE should have paid more attention to the women’s tag team titles, much earlier. The most talented women on the roster are being neglected in the process as they could not showcase talents. Alexa Bliss herself is going through a low time of her career since she is booked to feature in a tag team with Nikki Cross, as well.
While Alexa Bliss wanted WWE to arrange a big match at Wrestlemania 36, we can barely expect to see so considering the match card would be much lengthier. It’s interesting to note that Bliss and Cross have been the women’s tag team champions, at one point to make the belts relevant.
Bliss and Cross defeated the Iiconics to win the WWE Women’s tag team championships last August. They dropped the belts to the current champions, the Kabuki Warriors, at the Hell in a Cell PPV last October.
