While Australia won the 2007 ODI World Cup, their opener Matthew Hayden played very important role with the bat. He not only finished as the most run-scorer in that tournament (659 runs), but he also hit the most sixes of that tournament as the left-handed batsman hit 18 sixes in 10 innings.

While Hayden scored three centuries and one half-century in that tournament, he smashed four sixes in two centurion knocks. Hayden hit four sixes during the 101 runs knock against South Africa in the Group Stage (at Basseterre on 24th March 2007) and the 158 runs knock against the hosts West Indies in the Super 8 stage (at North Sound on 27th March 2007).
