According to the notice, Dravid has been involved in the Conflict of Interest. While he is the present head of the NCA Cricket Operation, he is also the vice-president of India Cements group. India Cements is the owner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

After that news, another former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has criticised BCCI’s Conflict of Interest system.

Anil Kumble believes that every profession has conflicts, and the handling process is very critical.

According to ANI, Kumble claimed, “I think every profession has conflicts in every walk of life. How you deal with it, how you disclose those prior that what you are involved in I think it is very critical. And once people know that you are involved in so and so, then I don’t think there is any conflict.”

Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) life member Sanjeev Gupta has complained to the BCCI about Rahul Dravid’s Conflict of Interest issue. Earlier, Gupta also brought the Conflict of Interest charges against Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. While they were the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) members, they were also the mentor/icon of the IPL teams.

It’s unfortunate that every cricketer only has to deal with conflict – Anil Kumble

Anil Kumble feels that it is very unfortunate for the Indian cricket where only a few cricketers can only contribute to the Indian cricket.

He added, “It’s unfortunate that every cricketer only has to deal with conflict and you know it’s something unfortunate that only a few of them can only contribute. There are only a few cricketers who have played for India.

“There are only 300 as of now and out of 300, I guess 50 percent of them are living. So, only those can contribute back to the game. If you don’t want them to contribute back to the game, then I think you need to find somebody else to contribute in cricket.”

Before taking the head coach role of the India national cricket team, Kumble also faced a similar question about the Conflict of Interest. He was involved with a sports and consulting firm Tenvic, and he was the chairman of the ICC Cricket Committee. However, Kumble soon quashed that that Conflict of Interest issue.
