Former Australian speedster has heaped praises on Team India’s worthy bowling line-up while remarking the current bowling attack has the potential to dictate terms in the cricketing world. Ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019, Lee believes India’s bowling stocks are balanced to go into the marquee ten-team tournament.

The star bowler Lee maintained India has had availed an excellent fast bowling attack in contemporary cricket. The 42-year-old paceman believes it’s the first instance when India has got some pacers who rose to the occasion.

In between, the youngsters have shown a rapid rise to make it to the senior team based on spectacular performances.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah will spearhead the bowling attack with assistance from Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

“India have got a good pace line up. This is the first time we are seeing some real pace throughout India. They have a lot of youngsters coming through,” IANS quoted Lee as saying.

The 42-year-old star reiterated that he sees no rationale that why India won’t be able to set an impact in the impending World Cup. Meanwhile, he believes it’s a good sign for India to set foot on the foreign soil with such pace stocks.

With World Cup beginning on May 30 at Kennington Oval in London, India will kick-off their campaign against South Africa in Southampton on June 5.

“Obviously, there are the likes of (Mohammed) Shami and (Jasprit) Bumrah; the Indian bowling stocks right now are very healthy. So as a foreigner coming to your country it is great to see. There is no reason why India can’t dominate world cricket because of their bowling,” Lee added.

Notably, Lee has been himself part of Australia’s prominent bowling attack. He has bowled alongside Mitchell Johnson, Shaun Tait apart from legendary Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne respectively.

Meanwhile, Australia faced a barren run, particularly in 2018. However, they have made a strong return by winning eight ODIs on the trot in 2019. The Aaron Finch-led side has thrashed India 3-2 before routing Pakistan 5-0.

Recently, in the warm-up matches, Aussies beat firm favourites England in the first warm-up before thrashing Sri Lanka. Thus, they have made a statement that they are ready to go deep in the tournament.

While speaking about Australia, Lee maintained they’re in a good position. He cited that teams will be ready to tackle any challenge and it about acclimatising to the English conditions.

Meanwhile, the positive sign for the Kangaroos has been their batters peaking at the time.

“They (Australia) are a good team. There has been an injury for one of the fast bowlers — Jhye Richardson is out of the World Cup, but Kane Richardson has been brought in. Look, any side that goes to the World Cup will be very well prepared. It’s all about who adapts well to the English wickets,” Lee inferred.

Australia will begin their World Cup campaign on June 1st against Afghanistan in Bristol.
