England are playing Pakistan in their second game on Monday. Both the teams are going into the match with contrasting results. On one side, England completely dominated South Africa in the first game.
On the other side, Pakistan were completely dominated by West Indies in their first game. They are currently lying at the bottom of the table. However, Pakistan will be looking to turn their fortunes. But England will try to build momentum with a win and justify their favorites tag.
With so much at stake, here is a look at how England will be lining up against Pakistan.
Jonny Bairstow
Jonny Bairstow did not have the best of starts for ICC World Cup 2019. He was dismissed on the first ball he faced against South Africa. However, he is the most in-form batsman for England. He is expected to open the innings.
Bairstow will be crucial for England in order to win World Cup this summer. He had a tremendous IPL with Sunrisers as well ahead of this tournament.
Jason Roy
Jason Roy was in excellent form against South Africa. He managed to score a gritty fifty for his efforts. He should be a starter for the game against Pakistan as well.
Joe Root
Joe Root looked good against South Africa after scoring a fifty. He is their main player if the openers get out quickly. Therefore, Joe Root will continue to play at No.3 for England.
Eoin Morgan
Eoin Morgan looked in good touch against South Africa. He scored 51 runs against them and holds a key role in this batting lineup. Despite being called to bat in pretty early, he kept his cool and constructed his knock well.

Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler once again holds the key for lower middle order. After not having much success in international cricketer as an opener, Buttler was pushed to lower middle order.
His ability to score quick runs is coming good for England over the past 12 months. It will be a miracle if he gets dropped from this side anytime soon.
Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali has made the spin all-rounder his own for quite sometime. Beginning his career as a bowling all-rounder, Ali had became a vital batsman as well.
His ability to hit big sixes during the slog overs, is crucial for England’s scoring. Meanwhile, he is expected to roll his arm for few overs in every game.

Liam Plunkett
Plunkett managed to pick two wickets against South Africa. He bowled with energy and caused damage with his pace and swing. He will play a similar role for England against Pakistan.

Jofra Archer
Archer is the latest member into this England team and he delivered on his World Cup debut in style. He literally won England the game, during his first spell itself. Jofra Archer picked up three crucial wickets at the top and hopes to make a similar impact against Pakistan.
