India Vs Bangladesh 2019/20: Third T20I – India’s Predicted XI
The hosts India will face Bangladesh in the series-decider third and final T20I of the series on Sunday (10th November) evening at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium (Nagpur).
At present, this series is standing at 1-1. The visitors Bangladesh started this series with a seven-wicket victory at Delhi. However, the hosts returned to this series after beating the visiting side by eight wickets at Rajkot. The winner of the Nagpur T20I will win this series.
Here is the predicted XI for India for the upcoming Nagpur T20I.
Rohit Sharma (Captain)
Indian standing captain Rohit Sharma is in dream form in recent times. He continued that form during the previous T20I at Rajkot. His 85 runs knock helped India to easily chase the 154 runs target. The present Indian T20I team is hugely dependent on his form.
Another experienced Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan is also scoring runs consistently. However, in recent times, the left-handed batsman has slowed down his scoring rate. Like Rohit Sharma, Dhawan is another important member in the present T20I batting line-up.
The talented cricketer KL Rahul was in-form in recent domestic cricket. However, he needs to perform similarly in international cricket too. At present, Rahul’s position in the Indian team isn’t secure.
In the last game, Shreyas Iyer (24*) guided India to the easy victory after the Indian openers provided the century partnership. Iyer has the potential to perform in crucial situations.
Rishabh Pant (wk)
The young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is facing huge criticism for his consistent struggling in international cricket. However, the team management still has strong faith in Pant. But he has to improve his performances both as a wicketkeeper and a batsman to reduce the growing pressure.
In his first two T20Is, the all-rounder Shivam Dube hasn’t got proper opportunities. He is a very good hitter which can help the Indian team in the death overs.
The all-rounder Krunal Pandya has impressed with his quality cricket. However, he needs to be consistent in every role.
The 20-year-old off-spinner Washington Sundar hasn’t taken much T20I wicket yet, but his economical bowling is massively helping the Indian side. His cheap bowling is putting pressure to the opponent batting line-up.
The leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has hugely impressed in this series. While Nagpur pitch generally assists the spinners, we can see another dominating bowling performance from Chahal.
The right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar has started his international career in a positive way. However, the 27-year-old needs to learn how to maintain consistent bowling performance.
As the left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed has disappointed in the last two T20Is, Shardul Thakur can replace him. Shardul has taken eight wickets in seven T20Is. He last played for India in October 2018 – more than a year ago.
